Intercollegiate Athletics

Athletic competition and athletic success are important to the University of Missouri. Financial stability in athletics ultimately breeds success— and success breeds pride among our many alumni and friends.

Mizzou Athletics does not receive institutional support from the university. Thus, similar to a private business, Mizzou Athletics must operate solely from what revenue it generates. However, football and men’s basketball season ticket and television revenues are not enough to adequately support the total Intercollegiate Athletics program.

The generous philanthropic support of Mizzou’s alumni, friends, and fans empowers our programs to compete at the national level. With stellar student-athletes, innovative and inspiring coaches, state-of-the-art facilities, and comprehensive personal development programs, Mizzou Athletics will compete for SEC championships while preparing champions for life.

Sports Park Gift Fund

As a member of the SEC, Mizzou competes in the most prestigious conference in college sports. Financial support of capital projects enhances athletic and academic success, provides new revenue streams, and enriches the gameday experience. In turn, these enhancements demonstrate Mizzou’s commitment to athletics and bolster our ability to recruit elite student-athletes and coaches from around the world.

Priority projects include an indoor football facility at Memorial Stadium, expansion of University Field, and renovations to the Mizzou Arena.
